Party in the front and back

So its been awhile since I've updated and yes i received all the emails but I've been super busy and sort of lazy but here's a quick outfit posting. Its been a million degrees for awhile here in NYC and felt like i was melting. Sigh!

Happy to announce that my bangs are back, oh i missed them lol. My friend is in town from Israel for a couple weeks so i meet up with her and another friend in Union Square for a little shopping and eating then we went to her boyfriend basketball game at Baruch College (my first).
I wore an on trend black and white polka dot mullet dress with a red belt from F21and my favorite MakeMeChic black Victoria Glaze boots (i love them so much i bough them in red) accessorized with ruby red lips and black quilted bag.

I'll add more pics as soon as i get them. Have a HAPPY 4th my loves :) Drink responsible and remember DON'T drink and drive.

Dating nightmare in the city

So no outfit posting today instead i'm going to tell you about my dating nightmares for that past 2 weeks.
I've been single for about a year after ending a 4 year relationship last June and decided to stay single for awhile since I've NEVER been single before plus to be single in NY is the absolute best or so i thought lol.

I'm always down for a fun date. I'm a bit quirky with an odd sense of humor and if you know me personally you know i'm a bit too honest and will tell it like it is. I'm in New York and thought okay this is my time to have a bit of a fun with no obligation BUT damn, i know i haven't been single that long but it cannot be this fucking bad with all these fucking weirdos and mamas boy who live in their basement and so many hipsters who's too cool for their own good living their ironic life.

• June 1, a friend who shall remain nameless for his own safety, set me up with his friend who saw my photo and thought i was "hot" and wanted to meet up for coffee (which should have been my first red flag) but i agreed against my better judgement and well, OMFG it was a fucking nightmare. First of all this guy wore sandals, khaki shorts with a 'Guns and Roses' tee and i wanted to leave immediately but i was polite and stayed and fuck i regretted it in the first 10 mins. This guy spoke non-stop and spoke about nothing but his online life. This idiot even tried to do a "Jamaican accent" so i faked an emergency phone call and told him i had to leave right away. A bitch move? NO he was so fucking dull i had no choice but to.  He called the next day and ask to see me again and needless to say that was a big HELL NO but i said it much more politely to him ofcourse. 

• June 5. I had dinner with another guy and again he was SO fucking dull i wanted to stab myself with a butter knife just to get away but being the baby that i am i just drunk mimosas, margaritas and counted down the minutes to when my torture would end. He was gorgeous as a mutha but man was he narcissistic and he's a 30yo frat boy... not...cute... He began the biggest douchebag after he drank. He informed me how much money he had, how many cars he had plus how lucky i should feel for dating him. He asked if we could have dinner again i never texted or called him back. 

•  Friday i went on a date with a guy i meet few weeks ago at the Whitney Museum of Arts. We had such a nice time talking and texting each other so i thought okay tonight's going to fun. Got there everything was going really great. Conversation, laughs and wine flowing and then he said became batshit crazy after we bumped into an old guy friend.  

At least i got free dinners and amazing cocktails out of these nightmares which was the least bcas i was in hell for 2-3 hours.

Jesus Christ who would've thought that so many crazy people lives in New York, well  don't answer that. This is why i'm so thankful for my amazing friends who rescue me more than they should.

Colorblocking

So no post for the past couple days bcas i've been super busy with some new projects.

Yesterday i went out with one of my oldest and oldest friend and her little brother around Manhattan, Brooklyn then Long Island. It was nice but i felt like a zombie bcas i was operating on about 3hrs sleep for 2 days but nonetheless i had fun like i always do with her. We had a little venting session over beer and silly a movie (Horrible Bosses) before i head back to Queens. All in all it was a good day/night :)

I wore a polka dot black and white high-waisted shorts, black bag & red belt from F21, pink open back top from Make Me Chic, black booties from Christian Siriano, white Chanel watch and vintage white sunnies.

Casual cool

New York weather is so schizophrenic. I was chilly and a bit rainy today, arghhhh so over it

Anyways, i was cleaning out my closet this morning and found these gorgeous clog i bought a few years ago that somehow got lost among my staple shoes. So i decided i was going to build today's outfit around it but didnt have anywhere to go then i remembered i had a couple tiny errands to run since most of my friends have jobs and cant hang with my during the days lol i tend to get bored. Had couple glass of sangria from a Peruvian restaurant in Corona.
I wore my beautiful Castaner tan clogs, red blazer, ivory tie front button down shirt from Forever21, high-waisted jeans from Citizens of Humanity with a leopard print belt from H&M and i finished off my look with a teal colored bag for a subtle colorblocking.

**PS: Someone asked if i don't wear flats lol... I do, i just made a promise to myself that this summer i'm only wearing heels (sandals and wedges).

Crop and booties

Finally got out of bed after 3 days of watching musicals on repeat, drinking wine and eating chocolate ice-cream because i'm really missing my nieces and nephews. I just didn't want to do anything but stay in my pjs and watch musicals and let my inner gay guy out :) My mom on the other hand wasn't too happy but she made it lol. I watched Lion King and Bambi repeatedly and couldn't stop crying.
I finally ventured out for brunch with the girls, i really needed grown up conversation at least for a couple hours anyways.

I wore Current/Elliot boyfriend jeans from SmartBargain (so much cheaper), Strip black and white crop top from cute boutique in Manhattan, red booties from Aldo that i bought 2 summers ago, a Forever21 plaid button down to finish the look with my white Chanel watch and a quilted black bag aslso from Forever21. I wore my hair down and wavy finally without sweating like a pig. Man i love these red booties, they make any outfit pop :)

Thigh high

Today is such a lovely, not too hot and humid.

I went to bed and woke up feeling kind of sexy and what a gal to do with all that sexiness lol. Go out for margaritas of course. I called up one of my best girlfriend and went to bourbon street and early drinks. I had errands to ran too but i had to do something with that sexy feeling i had (dont judge me lol).


 Today's outfit: blue and white polka dot maxi skirt with thigh high slit from F21, gray butterfly top from ASOS, (i went with back accessories) Steve Madden black "Dynemite" sandal , black skinny leather belt, watch and earrings from F21, white vintage cat eye glasses and red clutch from Nine West and top off my outfit with red matte lips (Estee Lauder).
PS: Yes i'm doing my best Angelina Jolie oscar leg stans lol
